Chet Baker Trio "Mr. B" [1xLP 180g Clear Vinyl Edition Reissue][Tidal Waves]

Regular price $25.00

Has Chet Baker ever made a bad record? I suppose somewhere along the way but not that I am aware of. His late 50s records are legendary, the soundtrack to his loose bio pic is near historic status around Slow Down Sounds so any Chet Baker release is welcome around here. Chet played and recorded mostly in Europe starting in 1978 until his death in 1988. This trio record from a 1983 session in Holland features tunes by Herbie Hancock (Dolphin Dance), Horace Silver (Strollin'), Dave Brubeck (In Your Own Sweet Way) but my favorite is composed by his piano player Michael Graillier (Father Xmas). A really wonderful recording from what is known as Chet's "lost" years.

Tidal Waves does a very nice job on their reissues. The jackets are well done, they have an OBI strip full of details, and the pressings are solid. And they have great taste!
